As some of you already know, actor Josh Gad took advantage of the quarantine to make a series on YouTube call Reunited Apart, where he has been in charge of bringing together, through video calls, the casts of several iconic series and films of all time, such as Back to the future Y The Lord of the rings.
This time it gave us a great surprise, as it brought together the main actors of The Ghostbusters 1984. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and director Ivan Reitman responded to Josh’s cue to chat about their favorite scenes and how this movie classic was made.
William Atherton and Michael Ensign, who had smaller parts in the movie, also joined the party, close with the superfan of The Ghostbusters (and Marvel hero) Kumail Nanjiani, who questioned the cast about some of the best quotes from the film. There was even a cameo from Ray Parker Jr., who wrote and performed the iconic song we all know.
The catalog also featured anecdotes about the late Harold Ramis, who co-wrote the film with Aykroyd and played Egon. The whole set of anecdotes and funny appearances made this meeting little epic.
Fortunately the representative of The Ghostbusters doesn’t end here, as Jason Reitman (Ivan’s son) is working on a direct sequel titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife, whose term of momentum has been delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic to March 5, 2021.
And well, as is customary, we will count the years to see how much the protagonists have changed:
1. Bill Murray
2. Dan Aykroyd
3. Ernie Hudson
4. Sigourney Weaver
5. Harold Ramis
And well, a peculiar mention of Ramis, who was such a good actor as a writer and director. Ramis wrote to Dan Aykroyd the first two installments of The Ghostbusters, and was even responsible for The Groundhog Day, where his companion of adventures Bill Murray appeared, in one of his most recognized films until today.
