Faced with the uncertainties, which still weigh on the next few months, the Pitti Immagine chooses to adopt a cautious profile for its next winter session. The Florentine trade fair organizer will resubmit the reduced format in January, which he tested at the end of June and early July, when he returned to a physical edition after a year of pandemic.
As in June, the two main events, Pitti Uomo dedicated to man, which will be the 101st edition, and the Pitti Bimbo (94th edition) dedicated to children, will be held simultaneously in the same place, namely the Fortezza da Basso, Florence, and on the same dates, Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 January 2022 to present the collections for the autumn-winter 2022-23.
The only notable change is an anticipation of one day in the week’s calendar. The winter session will in fact be held from Tuesday to Thursday and no longer from Wednesday to Friday, as was the case for its last edition. The idea is to avoid the usual hemorrhaging of buyers on Friday. The event is positioned again elsewhere, at the start of the season as usual.
Another change, the Pitti Filati, which had overtaken the Pitti Uomo and Bimbo in June-July and then overlapped with these two shows, will be held later, from Tuesday, February 1 to February 3, 2022, again at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence .
Reduced to three days against four in normal times and welcoming only a third of its usual exhibitors (nearly 400 against 1,200), the last men’s show at Pitti attracted with the Pitti Bimbo, between June 30 and July 2 , 6,000 visitors, including 4,000 buyers.
