“We are very satisfied with the outcome of this tender, which represents a great result and reaffirms the company’s attention to Sardinia, its people and our numerous employees based on the island, who will work on these routes. Sardinia has always been a strategic territory for the growth of our network and since 2012, we have transported more than 1.5 million passengers to Cagliari and more than 2 million to Olbia. These six new routes represent a great growth opportunity. At the same time, the launch of new connections allows us to better meet the travel needs of citizens and entrepreneurs of the local community. We believe it is essential, even in a period of less traffic such as winter, to bring the territory closer to the rest of Italy, offering direct connections between Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia and two of the most important Italian cities “- said Carlos Muñoz, President and Founder of Volotea.
