today Koh Samui is once again accessible to vaccinated travelers

The island of Koh Samui is now accessible to international tourists again, provided they have completed the vaccination course for at least 14 days. There Thailand thus continues its reopening process, launched last July 1st with Phuket, the island chosen as the first destination to test the protocols defined by the Thai government and by Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Koh Samui has always been one of the most sought-after locations. A place that, despite the importance of the tourist flows of which it is the object, has managed to preserve a relaxed pace of life and an ideal atmosphere for families and couples on their honeymoon. The main attraction of the island are, of course, the splendid beaches with the high choice of accommodation close to the sea, one of the peculiar and winning prerogatives that characterize it.

The access protocol to Koh Samui is comparable to what was previously determined for Phuket and will remain so for the next reopening stages. From today, July 15th, the program “Samui Plus” it will cover specific areas and routes in the three islands of Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao in the province of Surat Thani.

Upon arrival in Thailand, the airport staff will escort the passengers to the Health Control Checkpoint at the Bangkok airport; travelers must proceed with the installation of the Thailand Plus App; airport staff will escort passengers to the security checkpoint and then wait for the flight to Samui.

Once in Koh Samui, travelers must proceed with the installation of the Mor Chana App and registration of the Samui Health Pass; arrival at Samui Extra + hotel with designated vehicles is expected; once in the hotel we proceed with the first Covid test. There will be others based on the number of days of stay on days 6/7 (in the hotel) and 12/13 (in the hospital)

On the day of arrival you will not be allowed to leave your room until the test result is received. Subsequently and with negative results: from day 1 to day 3: you can leave the hotel room only to attend designated areas in the hotel; from day 4 to day 7: you can move within designated routes and tour only in Koh Samui; from day 8 to day 14: it is necessary to stay in a SHA + hotel and only after having received a negative test result can you travel between Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao; from day 15: if the last test of day 12/13 is negative, you can go anywhere in Thailand.
