The Italian debut of Mama Shelter is in Rome. Next stops Turin and Milan

New course for the hotel industry in the capital with the opening of the first Italian Mama Shelter. It made its debut in Rome on July 1st, in the Prati district, near the Vatican and a few metro stops from the historic center. The well-known French brand, now part of the Accor group, which stands out for its lifestyle and rich food & beverage proposal, aims for further development.

“Rome was a must. The choice of location and design of the structure has always been Mama Shelter’s strong point. We are currently working with a soft opening and from September we will be in full swing – he explains Bruno Cavasini, gm of the structure -. The rooms are still running slowly but we are receiving the first foreigners such as Dutch, French and English; customers who choose this location are interested in experiencing the city to the full and not only from a tourist point of view; they are looking for a place where residents meet guests in a friendly environment overlooking the dome of St. Peter’s. We also focus on catering with cinque outlet food&beverage, including a 250-seat rooftop which in these first weeks of opening has already welcomed a fair number of Romans and external customers. It is more than a hotel: it is a space to live and have fun. After Rome, Mama Shelter is looking for structures in Turin and Milan; Lisbon will also open, a third address in Paris and then in Bahrain and Dubai“.

Mama Roma is inspired by the Eternal City: with a very colorful and cheerful personalized design, it counts 217 rooms tra medium, large ed extra large, e quasi 700 seats distributed among the winter garden, summer garden, pizzeria-tavern, rooftop. All with large tables that invite to conviviality and sharing, also open to external guests. Space also for the mice, with meeting rooms with two ateliers (for up to 50 people) and a breakroom with table football and an outdoor area for playing bowls.
