Paris, Jul 8, 2021 (AFP) – French luxury group Kering is preparing to acquire Danish eyewear Lindberg, a high-end brand “with solid growth prospects,” he said on Thursday.
The transaction, which has yet to be validated by the competition authorities, “should be finalized in the course of the second half of 2021”, it is indicated in a press release. The amount of the transaction was not specified.
The family business Lindberg had a turnover of 100 million euros in 2019. The brand is to join the “Eyewear” branch of the French group, at the head of the houses Gucci, Saint Laurent, Boucheron …
Lindberg “is today known worldwide for its high-end optical frames with a unique design, ultra-light and customizable, with a specialization in titanium frames”, underlines Kering.
“A true pioneer in its industry, Lindberg benefits from a unique market positioning and combines significant size, high profitability and significant growth potential”, adds the acquirer.
