The opportunities of experiential tourism and an effective construction of tourist proposals in the area were at the center of the event organized by CNA Rome entitled “Rome is, new travel experiences in and around Rome”, which was held this morning at the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, in the presence of national and international stakeholders, journalists and buyers and which saw the intervention ofCouncilor for the Lazio Region Valentina Corrado.
“We face a great challenge – said theassessor Corrado introducing the event – to bring Rome and the entire regional territory back to the center of national and international tourist flows. In recent months we have worked in complete synergy with all the stakeholders, in particular with the trade associations, to build together ‘More nights, more dreams’. With this spirit we work together to go beyond the restart of the Lazio tourism sector, and its related industries, also through the creation and enhancement of new tourist destinations and travel experiences “.
“The overall and strategic vision of this territorial cross-section allows us to approach tourism with a new paradigm – explains Stefano Di Niola, Secretary of CNA of Rome -, an industrial model that speaks of tourist segments, but also knows how to enhance their interconnections and is able to create a virtuous circuit of all the realities present in the area capable of providing quality hospitality“.
“We have worked to enhance the activity of thousands of hospitality artisans and more – he adds Marco Misischia, President of CNA Turismo Roma -: small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in key sectors for tourism, such as travel agencies and tour operators, agri-food, catering, crafts, and so on. Representing all these ‘souls’ of small and medium-sized Italian entrepreneurship allows us to guarantee a rich and diversified offer, with proposals that complement and reinforce each other, responding effectively, competently and concretely to the needs of new travelers “.
In this context, the inclusion of cultural centers in wider and more diversified tourist circuits, which also include activities of discovery and knowledge of territorial identity, craftsmanship, the proposal of local excellence, paths of taste, knowledge and traditions , archaeological, natural and marine parks, villages, spas, etc. they will be fundamental to increase the appeal of the territories towards the domestic and international market.
Several travel proposals were illustrated to the audience of national and international stakeholders, journalists and buyers by CNA Roma operators present: Carrani Tour, MDS Experience, Associazione Aefula, Associazione Tivoli host, Associazione TO Tiburtini, Denise Viaggi.
Repeater and quality tourism, longer stays, redistribution of flows VS overtourism: the opportunities of experience tourism
With the resumption of tourist flows at a global level and the end of the health emergency, we will return to talk of overtourism: a plague that plagued the Italian cities of art, and beyond, forcing the administrations to devise solutions such as turnstiles, tickets, tracking. tourists, etc.
Together with overtourism, we will probably return to discuss the need to redistribute flows, seasonally adjust, lengthen average overnight stays and intercept quality tourism that contrasts the ‘hit and run’ that gripped our cities of art.
Tourism of experiences responds to all these critical issues and needs, able to offer more tailored proposals and closer to the needs of a more aware traveler, to intercept the request of a public repeater, to extend the average of overnight stays in the area thanks to the proposal of experiences that involve not only the main attractions but also the excellence of the surroundings, to propose diversified and appealing solutions for each season.
