Cabaia opens its first permanent stores

Cabaia, the French brand of innovative accessories, has opened the doors of its first two permanent boutiques in Paris, one with a surface area of ​​30 square meters at 60 rue Vieille du Temple in the heart of the Marais, and the second at 50 square meters within the Italie Deux shopping center in the 13th arrondissement.

“Unlike other brands of our generation, we have been doing retail from the start, we are used to managing stocks and staff in shops. We will also open one or two other shops by the end of the year. year in the provinces “, explains Emilien Foiret who co-founded Cabaia in 2015 with Bastien Valensi.

With a turnover of 15 million euros for its 2020/2021 financial year ended last June, Cabaia has doubled its sales and has therefore not suffered the health crisis of the coronavirus. “We have passed between the drops, in particular because the sales of our e-shop account for 60% of our turnover, and even apart from that, over the period, the wholesale sales are also on the rise”, details Emilien Foiret.

Driven by the success of its backpacks with interchangeable pouches, a product launched in 2019 which now accounts for 50% of its sales, its customizable pompom hats or its playful design socks, Cabaia has raised fund, the second since its launch in July 2020 with Spring Invest.

The objective of this profitable company: to expand its teams, its offer, but above all to develop further in exports. Cabaia, which has 1,500 resellers (including 900 in France), is thus present in Germany, Belgium and Spain and has just acquired distributors for Eastern and Northern Europe. The brand, which in addition to its resellers and permanent stores, currently has fifteen long-term pop-up stores (on average one year) in shopping centers, has also just participated in the Florentin Pitti fair. She will also be present at the start of the school year on Maison & Objet and Who’s Next.

On the supply side, Cabaia will launch a line of gourds before the end of the year, which according to the brand promise to be special.
