Alta Val Taro, a summer full of guided tours, excursions and events

Between guided tours, excursions and special evenings, summer 2021 in the Alta Val Taro it will be full of experiences to live.

Located in the southern part of the province of Parma, the Alta Val Taro is on the border with Liguria and Tuscany. Among villages, castles and breathtaking landscapes, once again this year the municipalities of the Alta Val Taro have organized numerous outdoor experiences, including planned activities and paths that go as far as the regional borders.

The one among the five municipalities, Albareto, Bedonia, Borgo Val di Taro, Compiano and Tornolo, is a corner of paradise in the Parma Apennines where good living reigns among nature, culture and gastronomy.

The experiences can become real “tour packages” to compose, to create a personalized holiday. You can choose your overnight stay, in a hotel, farmhouse or B&B and enjoy a dinner, a breakfast and a lunch with typical local products. With the licensed guide Giacomo Galli until August 31st the “Unusual Visits” continue, going in search of villages and hidden treasures in the Apennines of the Alta Val Taro.

A fixed appointment will be the guided tour of the historic center of Borgotaro, every Saturday until August 31st. Even visits with tasting, at the Borgotaro Dairy, will have an appointment every Friday and Sunday of the month.

On the other hand, there are several activities to experience in the woods, which in autumn turn into the perfect kingdom of chestnuts but also and above all of the precious Porcino Mushroom of Borgotaro PGI. The mycological and environmental guides will make it possible to collect these precious treasures of the territory.

For lovers of the outdoors on two wheels, there are many paths, through woods, meadows and pastures to be covered on your MTB or on a partner E-Bike, stopping for gastronomic stops in search of typical local products.
