Jurassic World: Dominion | Jeff Goldblum almost drove his teammates crazy with all his ideas for the film

The world of dinosaurs in cinema has had a rather special place for moviegoers, being Jurassic Park – 93% one of the most representative films of the genre, this is evident thanks to the countless references that have been made in other films. Although over the years this franchise has had its ups and downs, its presence is still fundamental and everything seems to indicate that the official closure of this particular story is yet to come.

After the original trilogy started in the 1990s, a second trilogy came in 2015 with Jurassic World – 71% starring Chris Pratt; Although the proposal began as an independent story from the one of the 90s, the point reached where both would intersect. Now that the franchise is officially coming to an end, at least in the movies, with Jurassic World: Dominion, Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reunite with Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern under the direction of Colin Trevorrow.

This film had to face the pandemic like many other productions, and after a necessary pause due to the health situation, the director managed to continue with the project by keeping his cast close and safe. His alternative was practically that the actors lived together during the filming, giving them the opportunity to write part of the script to contribute something to their characters, especially for those who have been working on it for years.

In the words of the director, this was very nurturing for the making of the film, however, it is Neil who thinks differently. During an interview with AND, the actor confessed that it was quite difficult to do this exercise with Goldblum, since the latter had too many ideas for his character and for the film in general that he almost drove his other companions crazy.

Colin Trevorrow, who is a lovely guy and a really good director, was very open to suggestions. Jeff would come to work with about 50 suggestions that drove us crazy every day. God bless you. I love Jeff, but boy, does he have a lot of ideas! Laura and I were coming up with things too, and Colin was very open to that. We’ll see how many of those things make it to the final cut!

Sam Neil and Jeff have been friends for years, so his complaint was not entirely a complaint. The truth is that Goldblum has a very special affection for this franchise that meant so much to his career, which would obviously give him so many ideas for the new film that he will surely have a lot of retrospective in terms of the films directed by Steven Spielberg. Now the expectations are in how the stories and the characters will be related, but above all the role that the dinosaurs will have within the plot since they are the main attraction.
