The Spanish firm Delpozo closes after 47 years of history

Spanish fashion received the sad news yesterday from one of its fashion firms with the longest history and international projection. Delpozo, heir to the former firm of the same name Jesus del Pozo, announced its closure. The news is everywhere today, it is one of the national luxury brands that has made us dream more times, that has come to parade in New York and dressed many famous Spanish and international.

Delpozo, tAfter having negotiated his sale without success, he has had to make a forced decision such as closing.

In 1974, Jesús del Pozo founded the brand in Madrid that would later become Delpozo. Under his leadership, the brand was recognized for its creativity and commitment to craftsmanship. In 2011, the Perfumes y Diseño Group acquired the brand to preserve its legacy and to relaunch Delpozo on an international level. From 2012 to 2018 Delpozo was under the creative vision of Josep Font.

Delpozo returned to the Madrid catwalk in 2013 and also participated in the fashion weeks of international capitals such as London and New York, while opening its own stores in locations such as Miami. Josep Font left the company in September 2018 and Perfumes y Diseño, joined the German creative Lutz Huelle.

Melania Trump, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Kiernan Shipka, Ana Belén, Leticia Dolera, Keira Knightley, Rihanna, Margot Robbie, Zendaya and Queen Letizia, in one of their most applauded looks, have been some of the women who has worn the Delpozo firm over the years.

Spanish fashion says goodbye to the firm forever and we are still in shock without being able to believe the end of this dream.
