HBO Releases: Movies and Series July 12-18 – Series News

‘White Lotus’, ‘Jane Eyre’ and ‘Justin and the Sword of Valor’ hit the streaming platform this week.

The week of July 12-18, HBO adds new movies and series to its catalog. From premieres like fiction The White Lotus about the day-to-day running of an exclusive vacation resort to season 4 of Down there. You can also see the animation film Justin and The Sword of Courage and the adaptation of the famous novel by Charlotte Brontë Jane Eyre.

The White Lotus

An exclusive resort, hotel workers and clients who come to spend a few days of rest and relaxation are the key elements of The White Lotus, a miniseries coming to HBO this week. Created by Mike White, the fiction follows the day-to-day life of a hotel complex where different types of people travel. From couples to families and even a woman who, mourning the death of her mother, travels there to throw her ashes into the sea. Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge and Alexandra Daddario star in the series.

Premiere: 12th of July.

Down there

The season 4 of Down there comes to HBO. The fiction created by Aitor Gabilondo and César Benítez and starring María León, Jon Plazaola and Mariano Peña tells the story of Iñaki, a young Basque who moves to Andalusia. His prejudices about the south of Spain are broken when he meets Carmen, a generous, cheerful and vital nurse who has not yet found love.

Premiere: July 17th.

Justin and The Sword of Courage

Manuel Sicilia directs the animated film Justin and The Sword of Courage. The film follows a young man who lives in a kingdom where bureaucrats and knights have been overthrown. That complicates his dream of becoming a knight. Also, his father wants him to follow in his footsteps as the queen’s advisor and become a lawyer. When Justin discovers his grandfather’s story, Sir Roland, decides to leave and fulfill his dream. The film has in its original version with the voices of Freddie Highmore, Saoirse Ronan and Antonio Banderas.

Premiere: July 15.

Jane Eyre

Cary Joji Fukunaga directs the adaptation of the famous novel by Charlotte Brontë Jane Eyre. The protagonist is a young woman from the 19th century who becomes a governess of Adéle Varens, a girl who is in the custody of Edward Rochester. In the mansion Thornfield, Edward and Jane connect through brain teasers and stories, but the strange events that occur in the house seem to hide a dark secret from Edward’s past. Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska and Jamie Bell lead the main cast.

Premiere: July 16th.
