Coldplay, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, BTS are just some of the names of artists who will perform at the Global Citizen Live, a concert broadcast live for 24 hours to benefit the global recovery after the pandemic, to be held on September 25.
The Global Citizen Live will take place around the world, from Central Park in New York to the Champ-de-Mars in Paris, as well as in London, Los Angeles, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro and Seoul, which through broadcasts will feature dozens of artists, activists, business leaders, philanthropists and world leaders coming together to defend the planet and overcome poverty, in support of Global’s one-year “A Recovery Plan for the World” campaign. Citizen, working to end COVID-19 and start a global recovery.
The concert, will be broadcast live on YouTube, and will include the BTS, Lizzo, Andrea Bocelli, Metallica, Lorde, Doja Cat, Keith Urban, Usher, HER, Duran Duran, Femi Kuti, Lang Lang, Demi Lovato, Ricky Martin and many more, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

They made it known through the twitter account of Global Citizen Live, where they advanced some of the names that will participate next September 25.

This global event aims to help secure a series of promises from governments and companies, including the donation of 1 billion doses of vaccines to the countries most in need, $ 6 billion for famine relief and another $ 400 million for educational programs.
French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, are among the politicians who support the campaign.
The event follows Global Citizen’s successful live-streamed 2020 concert, One World: Together at Home, which raised $ 127 million for charities featuring performances by artists such as Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones.
