Inspired by real events, its argument revolves around the very bitter riots that occurred around the Democratic National Convention of 1968; more specifically, around the irruption of several protesters in said Convention to protest against the Vietnam War. A group of people baptized as “the Chicago Seven” who were later arrested, tried and held responsible for the citizen riot that plunged the city of Chicago into authentic chaos.

The film will feature an interesting cast led by previously announced Eddie Redmayne (as Tom Hayden), Sacha Baron Cohen (as Abbie Hoffman), Seth Rogen (as Jerry Rubin), Jonathan Majors (as Bobby Seale) and Alex Sharp (as Rennie).
