After being recognized as one of the worst actors in the saga, Hayden Christensen returns to the Star Wars universe

Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker)

A few years ago, Hayden Christensen was in charge of putting himself in the shoes of Anakin Skywalker and representing, in the Star Wars saga, the path of the famous Jedi to the dark side. However, his dubious performance and the flaws in the scripts and direction of the Episode II: Attack of the Clones and the Episode III: Revenge of the Sith led him to earn the title of one of the worst actors in history.

Even though the actor’s Darth Vader ended up being seen as a spoiled kid, rather than someone who commanded fear and respect, Christensen will have a chance to assert himself in the role once again. The star will return to the ring as part of the cast of Ahsoka, the latest live-action series inspired by the saga, which can be seen on Disney +.

There were several sources that confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, so there is no doubt that once again, Vader will be represented by him.

In addition to Christensen, in the project Rosario Dawson will be playing the protagonist of the story, Ahsoka Tano, a surviving Jedi Knight who became very popular in the animated series and made her debut in the second season of The Mandalorian.

The details of the plot are kept under wraps, but it is known that John Favreau, veteran writer of the Star Wars universe, is behind the scripts and at the same time producing the series. Ahsoka is set five years after the events of Return of the jedi, which is why it is not known in which way Vader will appear, since in that timeline he is already dead.

It is believed that one of the ways in which they will incorporate the villain of the saga will be through flashbacks, but some fans are also encouraged to speculate that he could be a ghost of the force.

When asked about this production, the Disney studios remained silent, noting only that the recordings will begin in early 2022, but without giving details on the plot or the release date.

Christensen visited Argentina in 2016. The actor came to the country to work on an Argentine-Canadian production, Numb, where he shared the cast with Fernán Mirás and Liz Solari. The star was commissioned to play a post-traumatic stress war veteran convinced that the end of the world is imminent. Consequently, he establishes a bond with a supposed Messiah (Harvey Keitel) and takes refuge in an underground home.

“I think George Lucas did something phenomenal when he sold the franchise to Disney. Donating billions from the sale to charity is one of the most remarkable things that an artist has done for humanity ”, he told LA NACION at that time. “I would say that it is unlikely. The character has already served that purpose. But there is always the possibility, “he added when asked about the possibility of putting himself in the shoes of Darth Vader.
