Edgar Wright the screenwriter, producer, actor and director, the same one who brought us to Scott Pilgrim vs The World, now presents us with a psychological thriller where we will travel between the sixties and today, within the world of fashion and glamor of Soho.
The Mystery of Soho (Last night in Soho) tells the story of Eloise a girl passionate about fashion design (Thomasin McKenzie), who in some strange way that the trailer does not explain, manages to transport herself to London in the sixties, there he meets his idol and ultimate inspiration Sandy (Taylor-Joy) a charming girl trying to be a singer.
As we see in the trailer, it will be Eloise’s dreams which will make her travel in time, little by little showing her the life of Sandy, which she will try to copy, the changes in the linear of time will become more and more confused until they become entangled between the real and the world of dreams. But the sixties in London is not what it seems to be, and the timelines become increasingly confusing, which will bring grim consequences to the protagonist.
The Soho Mystery will introduce us to this well-known London neighborhood that has changed over the years, as Soho was famous for its sex shops as well as for its nightlife and the film industry. But since the early 80’s, the area has been transformed and is today predominantly a fashionable district.
